Change is the only constant. It has always been and will always remain so. Organisations need change to be competitive, sharp and innovative - in short to stay alive! You would think that knowing this, people would then embrace and welcome change. Not so – human beings resist change at a basic level, particularly change we perceive as imposed on us.
For this reason it’s often only crisis that brings change in organisations - and crisis rarely occurs without a deal of discomfort. So how can we make change a part of what we do without the crisis and manage the people challenge as effectively as the task challenge throughout the change?
