The idea for TurnaRound Table came when ian mcclean and partners realised the unique position it is in. Leadership in the current crisis presents an entirely different set of challenges than leadership in the boom. In conversation with our clients we discovered many leaders are struggling with the transition and have few places to turn. We also observed that across all industries many of the issues are the same. So with the principle that many heads are better than one, combined with the factor that ian mcclean and partners was a unique connector of all these leaders we contacted our top 250 leaders, in 173 organisations from across 37 sectors and floated the idea of TurnaRound Table as a forum for sharing experiences, networking and brainstorming strategies. Furthermore, ian mcclean and partners clients were good to us in the good times, so it is an opportunity for ian mcclean and partners to give something back.
Opportunity in Crisis
In Japanese the kanji for 'crisis' is made up of two symbols, one which means 'danger' and the other 'opportunity'. The challenge for a leader is to see the opportunity in the crisis. The TurnaRound Table series aims to help leaders to seek these opportunities with the support of colleagues and like-minded peers.
The Format
These half day events combine inspiring international guest speakers and tasty bacon butties with opportunities to network with other industry leaders while discussing leadership challenges and solutions. The event is also an opportunity to engage in time out to think and reflect on your role in the future success of your organization.
